Bocas del Toro, Panama
So we have officially made it to our 6th country on our adventure in pretty much 6 weeks! We took a 30min bus ride from puerta Viejo to sixaola and did a James bond cross over into Panama. We call it the James bond bridge cause u walk down a train bridge with one guy and he passes u off to another guy on the other side, they told us to never look back... :) ha ha it felt like we were in a prisoner exchange pretty funny! we even sang the music as we walked:) we then took a bus to the water taxi terminal that brought us over to Colon which is the main island. They even gave us life jackets but I'm not to sure it could have saved us:) The island we are on has no stores so with our back packs strapped on we went grocery shopping, we were quite a site! we then took a water taxi over to isla bastimentos which is where we are staying in a hostal called bocas bound. The beaches are beautiful, they are even having a Halloween party here Sunday so that could be interesting! all in all we are well! Chow for now!

Manzanillo, Costa Rica
I do have to say that I quite enjoy hearing that it snowed back home and iam missing it.... yippee! sorry guys:( I quite enjoyed sitting on the beach yesterday for my birthday! Today we rented bikes again and road the 12km to manzanillo it turned out to be a cloud free day so needless to say 24km of biking in the sun we are pretty tired. I definitly understand why these places have there own sense of time because nothing wants to move very fast or work to hard when u are dripping sweat all day! We are going to stay here till Thursday and then we will head to Bocas del toro in Panama. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Chow for now:)

Puerta Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica
So we are now on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Yesterday we took a public bus from Manuel Antonio to San Jose, we stayed over night in San Jose which was enough! The big citys here like most places are just a gateway nothing more. The next morning we got on another public bus and made our way to Puerta Viejo. Puerta Viejo is good for groceries and restaurants but the nicest beaches are down the coast. Today we rented bikes and made our way down to punta una and spent some time at the beach! The water here is much clearer then the other side. The town is very laid back and there is not a lack of people asking if you want something nice to smoke! haha. All in all a cute little town, tomorrow we will rent bikes again and make our way down the coast a little farther to manzanillo which is said to be the nicest beaches of them all! The power just went out across the city.... we are no strangers to that on this trip:) Hope this finds you all well!
Chow for now:)

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Well we have had a wonderful few days winding down and taking it easy. We have been at the beach, at the pool and doing lots of wandering around. Manuel Antonio has lots of great restuarants that over look the Pacific ocean. The night before last we saw one of the most amazing sunsets we have ever seen! Yesterday we went to the MA national park and hiked to all the lookout points, we saw monkeys, sloths, iguanas, deer.. weird but yes deer and racoons. You had to watch your bags very carefully because the racoons and monkeys would steal your bags when you went in the ocean, sneaky little buggers! we are here for a few more days before we head to puerta viejo on the Pacific coast! Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! Pura Vida!

We are definitely ready to take it a little slower for awhile. In la fortuna we did white water rafting which was alot of fun! The next day we took a 3hr bus ride to San Jose. We spent the last night with the group and the next morning we took a public bus to Manuel Antonio national park which is on the Pacific coast. We plan on hanging out here for the next week before heading to the Caribbean coast. All is well we miss everyone and hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving, while you enjoyed a nice turkey dinner we had... rice and beans a little to common of a dish around here! unfortunately our hotel here does not have internet so we are at a cafe but we will post again asap! Monteverde, Costa Rica
Well we have conquered any fear of heights we may have had! Today we did the Extreme Canopy longest zipline over the top of the rainforest in monteverde the longest one is 1km long. The zipline consisted of 12 ziplines over the cloud forest as well as repelling and the "Tarzan swing " which is exactly how it sounds... I think it caused me to have a partial heart attack! It was crazy so much fun! We are so glad we did it! Monteverde is a beautiful rainforest there is lots of restaurants and things to do wish we had a couple more days here but chop chop we are on a schedule! Ha ha! Tomorrow we head to La Fortuna where we can do level 3/4 white water rafting! This part of our trip is the "Adrenaline" tour! woo hoo! We have lived to tell the tale of ziplining so that's always a good start! Enjoy the weekend! xo

Ometepe, Nicaragua
So we have arrived to the island of Ometepe that is formed by two volcanoes, conception and madeeras. Glenn and I as well as Todd from Toronto are staying with a family at there house go team Canada! The house is cute, we have our own room with mosquito net and they cook us breakfast and dinner. It has been fun communicating since they don't speak English and we r not fluent at Spanish:) It's been a great way to practice and really get a taste of the culture. We arrived last night and went to ojo de agua which is a swimming hole that gets filled with water that comes from a spring in the volcano, very nice and refreshing. We then had a dinner with our family's:) Some of the group went for a 10hr hike this morning up volcano conception, not for us! Instead this morning we took bikes for a 30 km bike ride to and from Laguna El Charco Verde and did a hike through the natural reserve and had lunch. We went early before it got too hot! Now we r hanging in hammocks over looking the lake:) tomorrow we head to montverde Costa rica! Really happy we got to do this homestay it has been a really great experience. Hope everyone is well! Adios! That's all for now!

Granada, Nicaragua
So we have made it to yet another country, we have covered some serious ground. We left our hotel in Roatan at 530am and caught the 7am ferry which thank goodness was super calm we did not need a repeat! We then got into a van at 9am and took a 16hr drive yes a very long day. We finally arrived at 1am into Granada. We had 2days there and were able to go to lake Apoyo which is a lake that has formed in a dormant volcano. They had kayaks and tubes u could sit in which was fun. Our next stop is on the island ometepe where we are staying in a homestay with a family! should be fun and challenging since they don't speak any English:) looking forward to it!
