Today we did a day trip to Tikal, we were up early (3:50am:) to get to the national park before the crowds which was early but super nice! We got great pictures of the ruins and some wildlife, spider monkeys, fist size grasshoppers, moths the length of your palm and tarantula's. Yes real live hairy spiders walking around your feet:) The bugs here are on steroids! It was a great trip our guide was very good. We are at our hotel to shower and relax before we catch our overnight bus to Guatemala city then Antigua. We meet up with our volcano trail tour group Sunday night so we have 2 days to sight see around Antigua. Have heard great things about Antigua so we are really looking forward to it.
